Last night I was flipping through some photos from 1-2 years ago. These pictures weren’t anything special— they weren’t even from seasons of great landmarks for me, but rather, some simple and fun pictures.

I was quickly overtaken by a wave of emotions, thoughts and feelings that I had during that time the pictures were taken, then it hit me.

As I started thinking more about the place I was in during the time (which was basically like being in a desert), I now realized how good and faithful God is, as I started to notice my huge GROWTH and breakthrough to positive change & my desires becoming reality over the last year or so.

If this hasn’t happened to you, are you seeking out your dreams? Are you trying new things that will lead you to tap into new interests and possible giftings that may lead you to new passions and outlooks? Then after you have got a hold on them— have you started to pray into them and work towards them?

"You will show me the path of life;

In Your presence is fullness of joy;

In Your right hand there are pleasures forevermore." // PSALM 16:11 AMP

I believe God has an individual design for each and every one of us. He has created us, and placed passions and interests in us (some I bet we haven’t even come close to tapping into yet!). He doesn't just give us passions to “day-dream” about.. like “Oh, that would be so cool to teach overseas one day…”, but he gives them to us to run with— for the [His] bigger picture, and for us to enjoy along the way.

I encourage us to really think about what sets our hearts on fire. What inspires us. What do we do that makes us feel better connected to God? How can this bring others to salvation? I also think it’s important to be open, and step out of your comfort zone to join a class, make new friends, talk to strangers — it starts nice conversations. Grow and try new things.

Write them down.

Once you know your passions— you should pray into them, for example: “God, why is this on my heart, this dream, ambition, desire? Reveal to me how this passion can turn into reality, and the steps involved.

Then listen.

“Take delight in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart.” // PSALM 37:4
