ADVENTURING IN BANFF, CANMORE & YOHO

In mid September, my travel sista and best friend, Kara told me she had some flight credits to use up before next year and wondered if I wanted to go somewhere with her this fall. I was quick to respond with a YES, and we started brainstorming on places to go.

When looking at our schedules, we could both get away for five days in October, so we wanted to go somewhere in North America, which turned into somewhere in Canada after we realized how poor the dollar still was… After some thinking and research, we set on Alberta. We figured this was a good time of year to see the Rockies, do some hiking and photography without the rush of summer tourists.

After working out an itinerary for our five days, we would be able to visit Canmore, Banff and Yoho in BC. Some places I would like to visit in the future are Jasper, AB and Tofino, BC to do some surfing!

If you’re planning a trip to Canmore/Banff area, I included our itinerary below to give you some inspiration. There are endless hikes and adventures you could do there, but these are the ones we felt would be best for us in our time frame. I would also recommend a visit to the Travellers Information desk when you first arrive, because they will let you know what is open or closed, or if there are any precautions like grizzly bear warnings, etc.
