ONE YEAR LATER

It has been exactly one year today that I came to Brazil to visit my boyfriend! Lo and behold, I never thought that in one-years time, Geo and I would be married and living in Brazil!! The past year has been so exciting, but also stressful. It has also been quite scary leaving my “security” back in Canada, by leaving my nursing job and moving to a country where I didn’t speak the language.

I like the quote, “If you want something you’ve never had, then you’ve got to do something you’ve never done” - Unknown. I was tired of people saying, “I wish I would have done that…”, I don’t think it is ever too late. I believe we all have dreams for a purpose— to pursue something much greater with them.

Now days, I sometimes have to still remind myself I am actually living in Brazil with my love, and to embrace it! I feel like I am in a season of “training”. I have so much to learn: culture, language, photography & faith. I don’t know where our future will bring us, but now we are learning, growing & LIVING!

I thought it would be fun to share the Brazil photos I never ended up sharing on my blog from one year ago…
